1941 Germany invaded her hometown followed by the pogroms, random killings and round-ups

Father found a job in construction to avoid deportation

Soon, she was forced from one hiding place to another to avoid capture

Found shelter for a few days with a kind Polish lady, in a German villa under construction, in an armoire, under a dirt road

After escape from ghetto, living in an Ukrainian village under an assumed name

Denunciation by a local woman

Arrest, interrogation and jail followed

Deportation to forced labor camp in Stuttgart

1945 Liberation

Hitchhiked to Paris

1953 Immigration to the United States
