1939: Czechoslovakia was divided into Nazi and Hungarian conrolled sections

Lived under Hungarian control until 1944

Family was arrested and deported to the Munkacs ghetto

From there to Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp

Selected for forced labor with sister, brother, father and two uncles

The rest of the family was killed upon arrival

Mauthausen concentration camp

Forced labor in Melk

Sent on a death march to Gunskirchen

Liberated in 1945

Returned home and reunited with sisters and brothers

Migrated to the United States in July 1946
