Sent to ghetto with her parents shortly after the invasion of German troops

Father was arrested and murdered by the Gestapo

Family deported to Plaszow labor camp

Rena and her mother were lucky to find refuge and work in Oskar Schindler’s factory Emalia

Schindler also rescued them in 1944

He brought her from Auschwitz to his factory in Brünnlitz

May 1945: Liberated by Russian troops

Migrated to the United States with mother and husband
