Siege of Leningrad

Fled across lake Lagoda with two sisters to an aunt in the administrative territory Jaroslawl April 1942

Since civil war father could only see with one eye/ Did not have to go to the front

Mother was porter, later guard during the war

Started working at age 14

Return to Leningrad in July 1945
