VIVID MEMORIES OF “KRISTALLNACHT”. SCHOOL WAS CLOSED. ATTEMPTED ARREST OF FATHER AND BROTHER BY THE GESTAPO. TRAVELED TO ENGLAND.

He remembers the “Kristallnacht” in 1938 very vividly.
The next day, his school was closed indefinitely.

Gestapo men tried to arrest his father and older brother. Coincidentally, his father was sick. Frank explained them that his brother was born in Switzerland so that they could not arrest a foreign citizen.

Shortly after, his family traveled to england waiting for their visa quota number.

1940 emigration to the United States.
