GERMAN INVASION. INTERNMENT IN GHETTO. MOTHER COMMITTED SUICIDE. SHELTERED BY CATHOLIC FAMILY. FATHER FOUND HER AGAIN. ORPHANAGE. EMIGRATION. 1955 REUNION WITH HER BROTHER.

After the german invasion, her family was put into the sosnowiec ghetto. When she was three years old, her mother committed suicide.
Her father was fighting as a polish soldier against the germans.

Ida was sheltered by a catholic family. Her brother Adam was adopted by a polish family.
After the war, Ida’s father found her and placed her in an orphanage in Zabrze.

Later, lived with father in Wroclaw and attended jewish school.

1957: emigration to israel.

1963: emigration to the united states.

1995 she recognized her brother in a jewish publication and found him
In Poland.
