DEPORTATION OF MOTHER AND SISTERS TO TREBLINKA. LABOR CAMP WITH SISTERS. ATTEMPTED ESCAPE. DEPORTATION TO AUSCHWITZ. DEATH MARCH. LIBERATION.

His mother and two of his sisters were deported to and murdered in Treblinka in 1942.

Labor camp with three sisters. His sisters Chaja and Yita died in the camp. Shot and injured during attempt to escape. His sister Faige was shot dead.

Deportation to Auschwitz/Buna-Monowitz.

1944: Flossenbürg concentration camp. Death march to Dachau.

Liberated by us soldiers in Neunburg vorm Wald on April 25, 1945.

His best moment: “When the tanks pulled up and soldiers said ’We are americans. All of you are free!’ I was 17 years old.“

Henry Greenbaum died in 2018 in Rockville, Maryland.
