BUDAPEST / HUNGARY 1930

Occupation of Hungary. Deportation to Auschwitz. Forced labor. Death march.

Father had been ill for a long time and died on March 19, 1944, the day when germans occupied Hungary. Deported to Auschwitz with her mother and sister they managed to remain together.

Transferred to Plaszow concentration camp/back to Auschwitz. Then labor camp Rochlitz, Germany forced labor in a factory in Calw near Stuttgart.
Forcibly evacuated on foot/death march.

April 1945: liberated by us troops. Remained in Innsbruck, Austria with her sister and mother. Return to Hungary.

1949: migration to Israel. Moved to the United States after 53 years in Israel.
