RACSA / ROMANIA 1926

HUNGARIAN OCCUPATION. GHETTO. DEPORTATION TO AUSCHWITZ-BIRKENAU. MOTHER AND TWO SISTERS MURDERED. STUTTHOF. THREE SISTERS WERE SENT ON DEATH MARCH. LIBERATION.

1940-1944: Hungarian occupation.

May 1944: Forced with family into ghetto Satu-Mare.

29 June 1944: Deportation to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Upon arrival mother and two sisters were murdered in gas chambers. From there to stutthof concentration camp with three sisters. Satellite camp praust with approximately 500 other women.

Broke leg in the camp. SS evacuated the camp, Anna stay behind. Her sisters, gisela, clara and elizabeth, were and most others on a march into the unknown.

Liberated by soviet troops. Reunion with Clara and Gisela. Elizabeth was shot.

1964: Immigration to the US with husband.
